Redcurrant is a fully mutual housing co-operative (registration number 4414) providing stable, affordable housing for queer community organisers in Glasgow. We own a 5-bedroom house and there are 5 of us currently living here.

Our next door neighbours are moving away, and have offered to sell us their house. This is the same type of building as our current house, with 5 bedrooms. If we buy it, we could expand to being a 10 bedroom co-op of radical queers!

We are looking for people to contribute loanstock to the co-op (we have an FAQ on loanstock here: loanstock) that would be paid back at the end of the loan term.

We are open to small (£2000 – £4,999), medium (£5,000 – £9,999) or large (£10,000 – £40,000+) loans, and can happily discuss the terms of these with those interested in supporting this project.

We are also, of course, open to donations for anyone able to do so. Smaller donations would be used to support people to move, to acquire furniture, and to make small changes to the house to better fit our needs.
