It was set up in 2004, by a bunch of political and environmental activists, and pretty much likes to preserve its active character. As we're entering our third year we're trying to make sure Xanadu stays a busy but warm and homely communal living space. There's also lots of change, and we're very much looking forward to our permaculture design garden (frog pond done, greenhouse to come!), a new roof with insulation and no leaks!, and having the same house mates for more than a month.. In the longer term we dream about sledgehammers and knocked down walls and sitting around looking at the fire while our meals are cooking on our stove..
