Pretty good travel directions - it even calculates you CO2 travel costs!]

Using Public Transport: Train and Bus. We are on the route of the 738 and 740 bus between Ludlow and Knighton. The last buses are before 6pm and there is no Sunday service – so we will do a mini-bus pick up from Ludlow station at 8.30pm on Thursday and Friday evenings. We imagine we will do 2 mini-bus runs to the Ludlow station on Sunday afternoon. The mini-bus is part of our vehicle share scheme and we'll be asking for a donation from passengers. If people need later pick ups from the station then please get in touch in advance, and we'll see if we can sort something out.

The 738 and 740 can be caught at the bus stop adjacent to the Compasses Inn on Corve Street. The X11 is caught at the bus stop outside the tourist info centre on the market square (as also can the 738 and 740 be). If travelling on the 738 or 740 ask the driver for Dark Lane, its as you arrive into Leintwardine, we are on the corner of the Main Road (the A4113) and Dark Lane. If on the X11 you'll probably have to go into the village and walk up (5-minute walk).

Trains: Advanced cheap train tickets can (sometimes) be bought to Ludlow. Ludlow and Craven Arms are the Manchester – Cardiff line (with trains usually running once an hour. Our nearest train station is, however, Hopton Heath (about 2 miles away), which is on the Shrewsbury – Swansea, Heart of Wales line. There are only about 4 trains per day each way on this line. Knighton is also on this line. Craven Arms station is about 7 miles away and its pretty flat. Ludlow station is about 10 miles away.
